Decorative curbing is both aesthetically pleasing and functional when added to your landscape. There are multiple benefits to choosing decorative curbing, such as the ease of mowing around a garden and the barriers and boundaries that it naturally sets in your yard. Decorative curbing can turn so-so yards into gorgeous outdoor havens, and often add value to your property.

Brick Decorative Curbing

Brick is a popular choice for homeowners looking to add a bit of color and character to their outdoor area. A great idea for brick curbing is to add a border to loose stone or gravel walkways in your yard. Using brick curbing for this purpose makes it easier to maneuver a lawnmower around the walkway without throwing stones everywhere and creating a mess. Because bricks do tend to break a bit more easily than other decorative curbing, such as concrete, it is best to use them to surround a walkway or area as opposed to for the actual path. Brick curbing is also beautiful when placed as the border to a deck or patio area.

Stone Decorative Curbing

Stone curbing is an excellent option for outdoor spaces that have a large amount of garden space. One of the reasons that stone curbing works so well with gardens is that the stones have a rustic feel and the uniqueness of each stone's shape echoes the individuality of each plant in your garden. Stone curbing is also perfect for creating pathways around your landscape due to it's ability to withstand a decent amount of traffic. This type of curbing also works beautifully around an in-ground swimming pool or near a patio.

Concrete Decorative Curbing

Concrete decorative curbing is perfect for nearly any landscape project and is a durable and affordable option. Concrete curbing comes in a large variety of colors and styles. This type of decorative curbing works well as borders between gardens, swimming pools or patio areas in your backyard. Additionally, concrete curbing is an exceptional material for paths in your yard as it is can accommodate traffic without breaking too easily. The possibilities for concrete curbing in your landscape are limited only by your imagination. To add some serious elegance and appeal to your home, select concrete curbing in a color that complements your garden or decide to use lighted concrete paths for beauty all day and night.

No matter what type of lawn you have or what landscape design you want, there is a decorative curbing option available for your needs. Contact Whirl Construction for expert knowledge and help that results in an immaculate looking landscape

This is some great information, and I appreciate your point that concrete curbing is durable and affordable. I've been having problems with my lawn creeping into my garden and flowerbeds, and I'd really like to have a more definitive border between them. I'd prefer something that will last, so I'll definitely look into having concrete curbing put in. Thanks for the great post!

My husband and I have been wanting to do something different in our front yard, but didn't know what. We had no idea that we could add a curb to our yard! That would be a fun focal point for the flower beds. Concrete sounds like a great option! I like how you mentioned that they come in a large variety of colors and styles! It will give us more options to see what we like best! Thanks for the information!

I want to make sure that my landscape looks nice. It makes sense that I would want to ensure that I get some good concrete curbing! I feel like it would look the best out of anything.

I like the sound of concrete decorative curbing. It would be wonderful to invest in something that's durable and affordable. Once you mentioned those two qualities, I've decided that concrete would be good to incorporate into my landscape.

I'm glad to hear that concrete curbing is both durable and affordable. I have been considering it for my garden to separate the garden space from the lawn. Concrete sounds like a good option for this project.

It's good to know from your article that concrete decorative curbing is a good choice for my landscape since it is both durable and affordable. I'm thinking of adding more decorations to my lawn and taking landscaping more seriously as I am stuck in my house because of the current community quarantine set up. Aside from the plants and the hardscaping part, it might also be a good idea to add some solar leaf windmills for a playful touch.
